Yvette M. Britt, age 70, of Morristown, passed away Saturday, March 2, 2024 at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Britt; parents, Glenn W. and Gwenda Smith Mills; brother, Glenn W. Mills, Jr. “Sonny”.
She is survived by her son, Lee (Anna) Collins; grandchildren, Chesni Collins, Lee Collins, Chloe Collins, and Celie Collins; great-grandchild, Reema Arnold; sister, Sharon Parke; brothers, Darryel, and Terry Mills.
Yvette's world revolved around her son and grandchildren, whom she loved more than anything else. Her joy knew no bounds when surrounded by their laughter and love. Always with a Mountain Dew in hand, she greeted each day with a zest for life and a mischievous twinkle in her eye.
Yvette never left the house without ensuring she was dressed to the nines and her hair perfectly done. But it was her quick wit and slightly inappropriate jokes that truly set her apart. Her humor brought light to even the darkest of days and left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of sharing a laugh with her.
In the arms of her beloved Tommy once more, Yvette has embarked on her next great adventure. Though she may be physically absent, her spirit lives on in the hearts of those she touched.
A small private gathering of immediate family and selected friends is being planned for a later date in Georgia.
Arrangements by Stetzer-Bales Funeral Home.
