William Howard "Jim" Hopkins

William Howard “Jim” Hopkins went home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 27, 2023 at his home with his family by his side.  He was a member of Fernwood Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Pearl Cozart Hopkins; mother and father-in-law, Herman and Laura Belle Helton; and his grand-dog, Sasha.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Barbara Ann Helton HopKins; daughters, Effie Ellen Hopkins (Mike Collins), and Wilma Elaine (Dustin) Early; granddaughters, Ashlyn Grace and Elizabeth Nicole Early; along with several other family members and friends.

The family will receive friends Thursday, March 30, 2023 from 5-7 P.M. in the chapel of Stetzer-Bales Funeral Home.  Funeral services will follow at 7:00 P.M. with Rev. Bobby Kitts and Rev. Odell Davidson officiating.  Graveside/interment service will be Friday, March 31, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at Carter's Cemetery.
