William Lowry (Bill) Grigsby, age 94 of Morristown, passed away Thursday, April 22, 2021.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 72 years, Evelyn Riley Grigsby.
He is survived by one son, William Fred Grigsby; granddaughter, Mary Alice Lawson (Jeff); great-grandsons, Carter Randolph and Tate Lawson.
Bill grew up on a farm near Bulls Gap, served with the Army Air Corps in the Pacific Theatre during WWII, and spent the rest of his working time in the retail automobile business. He was a fifty year Thirty-Third Degree Mason and Past Potentate of Kerbela Shriners. He was a past Royal Patron of the Order of the Amaranth and a fifty year member of The Order of the Eastern Star.
The family will receive friends Saturday, April 24, 2021 from 5 – 7 P.M in the chapel of Stetzer-Bales Funeral Home. A Masonic service will follow at 7:00 P.M. along with Masonic Lodge 231. Graveside/Interment service will be Monday, April 26, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at the Mohawk Cemetery with Rev. Howard Shipley officiating.
