William Edward Bailey

William Edward Bailey, age 61, of Talbott, passed away Sunday, November 10, 2024 at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System.  He was a member of Bible View Baptist Church.  He worked 18 years for the Hamblen County Sheriff’s Department, was a member of F.O.P., and was active in the Hamblen County Car Club.

He was preceded in death by his parents, J Will and Lilly Mae Wilson Bailey; brothers, Richard, David, and Sam Bailey; sisters, Janie Kivette, and Debbie Buckner.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Rita Bailey; along with several nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, November 13, 2024 from 5-7 p.m. in the chapel of Stetzer-Bales Funeral Home.  Funeral services will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Mike Morgan and Rev. Randy Brooks officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the funeral home to help with funeral arrangements.
