Tony Ray Grooms

Tony Ray Grooms, age 79, of Morristown, passed away unexpectedly Monday, November 6, 2023 at his home.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Stallings; grandmother, Zenie Grooms.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Peggy Grooms; sons, John Grooms, Craig Barnes, Tony Johnson, and Todd Weems; 5 grandchildren, Derick Rucker, Sierria Toliver, Thomas Johnson, A.J. Weems, and Cheyenne Weems; great-grandchildren, Cooper, (he was his best friend ever) Dallas, and Myles Rucker,  Easton Ray, Sophia Martinez, Lillie, and Easton Tolliver, McKineze, Lexie, and Jazzie Payne, Daniel, Emily, T.J., and Parker Johnson; special friends, John Kincaide, and Steve Williams.

The family will receive friends Sunday, November 12, 2023 from 5-7 P.M. in the chapel of Stetzer-Bales Funeral Home.  Funeral services will follow at 7:00 P.M. with Rev. Doug Livesay officiating.  Graveside/Interment services will be Monday, November 13, 2023 at Jefferson Memorial Gardens at 11:00 A.M.
