Mrs. Thelma Burnett Alexander, age 85 of Frisco City, AL passed away Wednesday, December 2, 2020 in Mobile, AL.
Mrs. Alexander was born in Morristown, TN and was a resident there until she moved to Frisco City, AL in 2005. Mrs. Alexander was a member of Goodway Assembly of God Church. She worked at Shelby Williams until her retirement. After retirement she spent time raising orchids and traveling to orchid shows.
She was a big John Wayne fan and after her husband passed away she had the opportunity to travel the United States with her sister and brother-in-law. She was always talking about her trip and said one of the many highlights was visiting Monument Valley and visiting places where John Wayne had filmed some of his movies.
Preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Reed Alexander; her parents, Horace Pangle Burnett and Eula Purkey Burnett; a sister, Joyce Burnett Wilson; and a brother-in-law, Ronald Marshall.
She is survived by her daughter, Ruth "Tootsie" Alexander Saucer and husband, Wesley Ray Saucer; two brothers, Bill Burnett and wife, Florence of Mt. Juliet, TN and Doug Burnett and wife, Estelle of Morristown, TN; a sister, Ethel Burnett Marshall of Morristown, TN; two grandsons, David Ray Saucer and wife, Andrea of Frisco City, AL and Scott Saucer and wife, Elizabeth of Goodway, AL; five great-grandchildren, Bryson Ray Saucer, Jackson Smith, Laney Saucer, Weston Saucer and Caroline Saucer; six God-grandchildren, Richard, Jeniffer, Tony, Rachel, Luke and Rebekah Williams; special-special niece, Rhonda Merdith and husband, Barry of Hueytown, AL; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, December 12, 2020 at St. Paul Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Morristown at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. James Garrett officiating.
