Sharon Kay (Kuykendall) Smith

Sharon Kay Smith, age 71, of Knoxville, passed away Sunday, May 10, 2026, at Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville. She was born and raised in Morristown and lived in Knoxville.  She was of the Christian faith. She was a very loving, giving, and thoughtful person who will be missed by all.

She was preceded in death by her father, Palmer Joel Kuykendall; mother, Mildred Myers; stepfather, Robert Myers; brothers, Emanuel Joel Kuykendall, and Marvin Richard Kuykendall; grandparents, Rev. Joe and Effie Smith.

She is survived by her brother, Timothy Buddy Kuykendall; sister, Devonda Powell; stepsister, Wanda Sue Moore; along with other family members and friends.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 13, 2026, from 6 – 8 p.m. in the chapel of Stetzer-Bales Funeral Home. Graveside/interment services will be Thursday, May 14, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Jarnagin Cemetery.
