Samantha Jeane (Brown) Boykin

Samantha Jeane Boykin, age 29, of Newport, gained her wings on Saturday, July 29, 2023.  She was a kind hearted, fun loving, sweetheart who always had a smile on her beautiful face.

She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Randy Phillips, and Edwin Brown; grandmothers, Bobbie Jean Phillips, Marilyn Hunt, and Peggy Neely; sister, Miranda Brown; great-grandmother, Annette “Mammie” Gibson; aunt, Jennifer Jones.

She is survived by her mother, Tina (Derrick) Neely; father, Gary Brown of New York; daughters, Kiayah Barnett of Alabama, Oaklynn Sanderlin, and Embreigh Bledso; granddaughter, Kamarria Bates of Alabama; brother, Alex McCaffery; sisters, Courtney Ford, Cheyenne (Brandon) Jenkins of Florida, Leann “Nana” Gooderham, Sherry “Mamaw” Winter; companion, Aaron McNabb; along with several nieces, nephews and a host of family and friends.

The family will receive friends Saturday, August 5, 2023 from 6-7 P.M. at the old Time Gospel Missionary Baptist Church at 445 Beech St., Newport.  Services will follow at 7:00 P.M. with Rev. Roy Phillips officiating.
