Rita Faye (Sands) McCampbell

Rita Faye McCampbell, age 72, of New Market, departed this life on Thursday, September 4, 2025. Born on June 2, 1953, Rita was a beacon of love and kindness to all who were fortunate enough to know her. She was the cherished daughter of Everett and Mary Sands, who preceded her in death. Rita's vibrant spirit and unwavering strength will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.

Throughout her life, Rita was a devoted mother and grandmother. She is survived by her three beloved children: Trisha McCampbell, Kathy (Keith) Ward, and Ray (Delores) McCampbell. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, including Aron James, Annie (Pete) Hartness—who provided exceptional care during Rita’s illness—and great-granddaughter, Azariah James.

Rita also leaves behind her loving siblings: sisters, Eveln, Betty, and Janie; brother, Junior; and brother-in-law, Robert. The love Rita had for her family was profound and unwavering, and she cherished the bonds they created over the years.

Rita's passing leaves a void that cannot be filled, but her memory will be cherished by all who knew her.

The family is planning a service for a later date.
