Rita Faye (Withers) Knight

Rita Faye Knight, age 72, of Mosheim, passed away Thursday, December 4, 2025 following a surgical procedure.  She was of the Baptist faith.  She retired from Ecoquest in Greeneville.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Barbara Withers; sister, Brenda Mathes; brother, William “Bill” Withers; great-nieces, Brandi and Sheanda Christian; father and mother- in-law, Ottis and Grace Knight.

She is survived by her husband, Roger D. Knight; sister, Virginia (Worley) Mathes; brother, Floyd “Tom” (Claudia) Buttry; nieces, Lisa Strange, Tina Christian, Christie (Richard) Lawrence, Sandra Justice (Clifford) Early; nephews, Phillip Justice, Tony (Brandi) Knight, Micheal Knight, Robert (Heather) Buttry, Tommy (Christie) Buttry, Bill (Rosemary) Withers, Jason Withers, and Richard (Theresa) Mathes; along with several great and great-great nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held Friday, December 19, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Jackson Chapel Freewill Baptist Church cemetery in Orebank with Rev. Will Scott officiating.
