Rev. Richard Gene Harville

Rev. Richard Gene Harville, age 77, of Morristown, passed away Friday, October 22, 2021 at his home.  He is the pastor of Lakeview Baptist Church on Lakeshore Rd.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Parlin and Katie Shopshire Harville; brothers, Paul and Jimmy Harville; sister, Iva Rainbolt; grandson, Rodney Lackey.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Alice Harville; children, Ricky (Melinda) Harville, Tammy (Robbie) Lackey, Margaret (David) Brady, Dale (Christina) Harville, Stacey Harville, and Faye (Chuck) Hurley; grandchildren, Elizabeth (Justin) Mowel, Alisha (Brandon) Hollifield, Leslie (Sam) Kuykendall, Mark Lackey, Josh (Chasity) Newman, Mathew (Jamie) Newman, Cassandra (Chase) Jarnigan, Tabitha (Randy) Corum, Miranda Harville, Chris (Destinee) Hurley, Ryan (Ashley) Hurley, and Connor Hurley; 27 great-grandchildren; nieces, Lisa (Mike) Tipton and Katie Rainbolt; along with other family members and friends.

The family will receive friends Monday, October 25, 2021 from 6 – 8 P.M. in the chapel of Stetzer-Bales Funeral Home.  Funeral service will be held Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at 11:00 A.M.  at the funeral home with Rev. Terry Greene and Rev. Charles Wolfenbarger officiating.  Interment will follow at Singleton Cemetery in Thorn Hill.

Serving as pallbearers are, Chris Hurley, Ryan Hurley, David Brady, Matt Newman, Joshua Newman and Mark Lackey.
