Rebecca Sue Carter, age 63, of Dandridge, passed away on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at Life Care Center of Jefferson City. A loving mother, grandmother, and sister, she touched the lives of many.
Having spent most of her life in Seattle, Washington, Rebecca thrived in the mortgage industry and owned her own beauty salon, showcasing her entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to her craft.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon Gail and Connie Craft Curtis, and her brother, Alan Curtis.
She is survived by her daughter, Shelby (David) Bacon; her son, Garrett Carter; and her siblings, Ben Curtis, Michelle Curtis, and Vern Curtis, along with several cousins, nieces, and nephews, who carry forward her legacy of love and resilience.
A graveside service will be held at Wesley's Chapel Church Cemetery in Jefferson City at 4:00 p.m. on August 13, 2025. Please let Shelby Bacon know if you plan on attending.
