It breaks our hearts to announce the passing of Rashelle Lee Romero, 52 years young, on January 31st 2026 after a long, hard, and courages fight with cancer. Rashelle was born December 3rd 1973 in Hollywood Florida. After moving to Tennessee in her 30’s she spent the rest of her life here. She passed away in her home in Rutledge TN surrounded by family, friends, and loved ones.
Rashelle would most like to be remembered by her role as a mother. She took a lot of pride and joy in raising her kids. She was also an extraordinary and loving wife of 30 years. She absolutely loved being a grandma/nana to her grandkids. She enjoyed being outdoors and going to the mountains. The snow was something she always looked forward to. Rashelle adored Dolly Parton and always dreamed of meeting her. She always made sure to be at Dollywood for parades Dolly was in. She collected anything Dolly related. She had a big heart for animals, Especially her 7 chihuahuas. Rashelle was a firm believer in God and enjoyed going to church on Sundays or watching it live at home. She was a big fan of football, with her favorite teams being the dolphins and the 49ers.
She leaves behind her husband Francisco Romero who loved and took care of her for 30 years. They raised 5 children together whom she also leaves behind, Timothy Knoeller, Anthony Romero, Elizabeth Romero, Austin Romero, and Bella Romero.
In addition she leaves behind 6 grandchildren, Liam Romero, Leila Romero, Luca Romero, Atticus Bryant, Oakley Bryant, and Grayson Knoeller.
The family of Rashelle Romero will be hosting a celebration of life Saturday February 21st. It will be held at Panther Creek State Park in Morristown TN. The celebration will begin at noon. Please do not come in black attire. They ask you wear something purple as it was Rashelle’s favorite color. If you do not have something purple just be colorful. They ask you be yourself, so if you wish to wear a purple onesie or a funny purple shirt or pants do so. There will be an “after party” in honor of Rashelle at a different location.
