Michael Gale "Butch" Jarnagin

Michael Gale “Butch” Jarnagin, age 67, of Talbott, passed away Wednesday February 23, 2022 at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System.  He was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church.

He was a very loving and caring husband, father, grandfather and son.  He was a hard worker who sacrificed a lot and loved helping others in need. He was loved and respected by everyone who knew him.  He was known for his contagious laugh and wittiness.  He loved working on cars, the farm, and spending time with his grandchildren.  He loved his family very much and will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.

He was a deputy, fire fighter and paramedic.  He was the owner of Three Rivers Ambulance Service, Lakeway Ambulance Service and Allied EMS.  After retirement he worked as a security guard.

 He was preceded in death by his father, William Gail Jarnagin.

He is survived by his wife, Janie Monger Jarnagin; children, Kimmy Jo (Jason) Smith, Peyton (Brandi) Jarnagin, Adam Jarnagin, Michael Jarnagin, Brandon Jarnagin; grandchildren, Cooper Smith, Abby Jarnagin, Micah and Ashton Jarnagin, Sidney Nix; mother, Thelma Jarnagin; sister Rita (Claude) Key.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Heather Shultz and staff at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System CCU and EMS, for taking exceptional care of him and the family during this difficult time.  They would also like to thank everyone who called, texted, supported and prayed for them during this time.

The family will receive friends Saturday, February 26, 2022 from 6 – 8 P.M. at Pleasant View Baptist Church.  Funeral services will follow at 8:00 P.M. with Dr. Larry Parrott and Rev. Bryan Rhodes officiating.  Graveside services will be Sunday, February 27, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. at Pleasant View Baptist Church Cemetery.
