Maurice Andrew Lierman

Maurice Andrew Lierman, age 86, of Dandridge, passed away at his home on Saturday, September 6, 2025, surrounded by his family.

He was born in Tillsonburg, Ontario, Canada, on November 2, 1938, and was the son of the late Joseph and Mary Lierman.  He had made his home in East Tennessee for the last 29 years. He was retired from the Canadian government and was a member of Dumplin Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Ron Lierman.

He is survived by his wife, Patsy Marie Shelton Lierman; sons, Joe Lierman of Ontario, Canada, Matt Lierman and wife, Jeannie of Alberta, Canada, and Ray Deskins of Gatlinburg, TN; daughters, Anita Dyke and husband, Gary of Wellington, Ontario, Canada, Amanda Aman of Wellington, Ontario, Canada, and Pamela Monger and husband, Brett of Dandridge; several grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.

The family would like to give a special thanks to his nurses and doctors at UT Hospital; palliative care nurse, Patricia; wound care, Dr. Young, and staff; home health nurses and hospice care nurses.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 11, 2025, from 6 – 7 p.m. at Dumplin Baptist Church in New Market.  A celebration of life service will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Robert Holt and Dr. Don McEntire officiating.
