Mary Noe Bible, age 103, went to be with her Lord on June 25, 2021. Mary was born on May 9, 1918 in Mascot, TN and lived her adult life in Morristown, TN. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and friend to many. She lived a life of giving, loving others, and serving the Lord. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Morristown for 65 years and taught Sunday School for young children for many years. She served as the first full time secretary of First Presbyterian Church Morristown for 21 years.
In her last years, she loved to sit on her porch watching God’s creation and visiting with friends and offering nuggets of wisdom. When asked what advice she would give, after living more than 100 years, she said “we belong to God and we are accountable to Him, so we need to learn to depend on God”.
Mary is preceded in death by parents, Manley and Ethel Marcus; brother, Manley Marcus, Jr.; sisters, Georgia Beets and Jean Crawford, as well as first husband, Fred Noe, Sr., second husband, Howell Bible; and sons, Fred Noe, Jr., and Robert Bible.
She is survived by children, Ray Bible (Barbara) and Sarah Demers; grandchildren. Gean Ann Sing (Tim), Kathryn Moore (Scott), Ed Bible, Pat Cureton (Kenyn), Bill Bible, Fred Noe, III, Nikki Noe, Daniel Noe, David Noe (Hope); and eight great-grandchildren; five great great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank special friend, Bill Hipshire, caregivers at home, and staff at Smokey Mountain Hospice and the Serenity House, who all lovingly cared for her.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Tuesday, June 29 at Stetzer-Bales Funeral Home in Morristown. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 PM with Rev. Daniel Noe officiating. Family and friends will meet at Bethesda Cemetery on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at 10:30 for a graveside service officiated by Rev. David Noe.
