Marty Leon Dockery

Marty Leon Dockery, a beloved Father, Brother, and Friend, passed away Sunday, August 10th, 2025, at his home in Dandridge Tennessee, surrounded by his family under the care of Gentiva Hospice.

Marty was born January 24th, 1961.

Marty’s life was marked by his hard work on the railroad, and as a farm hand at Jones Cress Farm in New Market, Tennessee, where he spent much of his career, he was never shy of hard work, and long hours on the farm.

He was preceded in in death by his parents, Edgar Leon & Faye Dockery, and younger brother Marcus Dockery.

He is survived by his daughters, Beth Love and Caly Anne Horner, siblings Bernadine Widdifield, Rita Kitts, Vanessa Carter, Eric Dockery, Marsha Thompson, Angela Dockery.

Nieces and Nephews, Shannon, Misty, Victor, Amy, Stephanie, Alex, Tyler, Amber, Kassy, Timmy, great Nieces & Nephews, Nicholas, Emily, Cash, Serenity, Michael, Bryliex ,Finley, Lily Lee.

Our Heartfelt Thanks and Marty’s go out to Special Nephew Timmy, and Gentiva Hospice Nurses, Brittany and Taylor for the amazing care they provided.

Marty your love of life, quick wit, kind, warm and generous heart will be missed by so many.

A Celebration of Life is Saturday, September 13th @ 4:00 p.m. at Valley View Cemetery, New Market, TN where he will be honored beside his beloved father and brother.

“For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in himself shall not perish but have eternal life”.
