Margie Linda (Smathers) Galloway

Linda Smathers Galloway, age 74, of Newport, TN went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on November 9, 2024 surrounded by her family.

She was born on February 22, 1950 to the late Phillip Smathers and Nellie Conard Smathers.

She was preceded in death by her children, Elizabeth Ann, Timothy David, and Michael Bradley; step-daughter, Janet Nichols; brothers, Bill, Ray, Charlie, and Wayne Smathers; sisters, Vicki Smathers, Mae Whitner, and Faye Morgan;

She is survived by her husband, Roy Galloway; sons, Ronnie (Robin) Bradley, Steve (Kerri) Bradley; step-children, Randy, Scott, and Tammy; two sisters, Marie Palmer, and Judy Williamson; brothers, Scott (Carol) Rollins, Mark (Tammy) Smathers; grandchildren, James Galloway, Spencer Bradley, Michael Bradley, Mark Bradley, Colby Gibbs, Jovi Nichols, Jake Nichols, Jason Tramper, Elizabeth Bradley, Brynne Acosta, and Paige Clark; great-grandchildren, Timothy Bradley, Braylin Nichols, and  Keaton Nichols; along with several nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.

The family will receive friends Thursday, November 14, 2024 at Hyatt Creek Freewill Baptist Church, Waynesville, NC 28786 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.  Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Rick Mehaffey officiating.
