Linda Joyce (Cansler) Cope

Linda Joyce Cope, age 82, of Morristown, passed away Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at her home.  She was a member of Panther Springs United Methodist Church, and a member of Eastern Star 292.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald J. Cope; parents, A.W. and Lillian Cansler; brother-in-law, Lyndell Jeffers.

She is survived by her two daughters, Lisa (Gary) Burgin and Jennifer (Jeff) Henderson; grandchildren, April (Chad) Grindstaff, Ashley Burgin, Brandon Burgin, Christy (James) Jones, Tiffany Burgin, and Brittany Vaught; great-grandchildren, Ethan Grindstaff, Daegan Burgin, Ryland Grindstaff, Layna Burgin, and Asher Hurst; sister, Marylin Jeffers; 2 special nephews, Jeffery, and Andy Jeffers; along with several other family members and friends.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, June 26, 2024 from 5 – 7 pm in the chapel of Stetzer-Bales Funeral Home.  Funeral services will follow at 7:00 pm with Rev. Trevor Roberts officiating.  Graveside/interment service will be Thursday, June 27, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Hamblen Memory Gardens.
