Linda Darnell (Dean) Carpenter

Linda Darnell Dean Carpenter, aged 76, of Morristown, passed away on Friday, September 19, 2025, at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System. Mrs. Carpenter was known for her kindness and dedication as a mother, sister, and grandmother. She will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. A member of The Little Country Church in Morristown, she dedicated 28 years of her career to Shelby Williams until the company ceased operations.

She was preceded in death by her father, Andrew Dean; her mother, Bonnie Atkins Hightower; her son, Danny Keith Laughner, Jr.; and her sisters, Bonnie Dickerson and Shirley Vincent.

Mrs. Carpenter is survived by her son, Brian Carpenter; her daughter, Kristin Carpenter; her brother, David Dean; her sisters, Sonya Fletcher and Shelia Turner; her grandchildren, Acacia Bowlin, Rileigh Bowlin, Pate Carpenter, Seth Laughner, Ethan Laughner, Hayle Laughner, and Dakota Laughner; and her great-grandchild, Daymond Akeem.

 The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Stetzer-Bales Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m., officiated by Rev. Scott Hayes. Graveside interment services will be Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at Bethesda Cemetery.
