Lina Dawn Turner-Leonard, 51 of Jefferson City, beloved daughter, sister, mom, aunt and friend was called home by her Lord and Savior the morning of February 5, 2021. She was battling cancer and was strong and hopeful until the end. God guided her to become a nurse, and she graduated, September of 2001 from TCAT. She advised everyone to be their own advocate in medical decisions and to “Walk by Faith”.
She was greeted in heaven by her parents, Vacy and Charolene Turner; grandparents, Harrison and Flora Turner, Coy Eledge, and Florence Eledge.
She is survived by her daughter, Zoee Turner-Leonard; brother, Vacy (Connie) Turner, Jr.; sisters, Sheila(Lee) Parker, Stacie Turner Carver, and Tosha Turner; nieces and nephews, Amber (Jason) Riemann, Caleb Cameron, Kierra Cameron, Gage Cameron, Landon Turner, Leland Turner, and Lance Turner-Armstrong; great-nephew, Finley Riemann; soul sisters, Pat Leapheart-Duda, Becky Dudash, Jamie McMahan Rainbolt and their tribe of children; chosen daughters, Kaitlyn Hill and MaKayla Hill; along with many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews; special support group, Breast Connect and many other support and prayer groups.
The family will receive friends Friday, February 12, 2021 from 5-7 p.m. in the chapel of Stetzer-Bales Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow with Rev. Trevor Roberts officiating. A funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 12:30 p.m., Saturday, February 13, 2021 for a 1:00 p.m. graveside service at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Morristown, TN.
