Lillie Rine (Simmons) Carpenter

Lillie Rine Carpenter, age 81, of Bean Station, passed away Sunday, February 5, 2023 at Jefferson Memorial Hospital.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Garfield Carpenter, Sr.; sons, Kevin D. and David Carpenter; grandson, Malcom D. Carpenter; parents, Fain Brabson and Mary Louisa Dalton Simmons; brother, Faye Jr. Simmons; sisters, Sarah Parker, and Ruthie Atkins.

She is survived by her sons, Garfield Carpenter, Jr., and Malcom L. Carpenter; daughter, Karen Carpenter; grandchildren, MaKayla Larner, and Devin Livesay; brother, Elmer Simmons; along with several nieces and nephews and other family members.

The family will receive friends Friday, February 10, 2023 from 1 – 2 P.M. at Dalton Cemetery in Bean Station. Graveside services will follow at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Truman Coffey officiating.
