Larry Franklin Cook, age 75, of Mooresburg, passed away Sunday, June 28, 2026, at Johnson City Medical Center in Johnson City.
He was a member of Mooresburg Baptist Church; an ordained minister; and retired from TRW in Rogersville. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend who will be missed by all. He loved working with wood, making caskets and cedar chests.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John, and Joy Carpenter Cook; brother, Dale Cook; grandfather who was like a father to Larry, “Pa” Deadrick Carpenter.
He is survived by his loving wife, Faye Morefield Cook; son, Brian John Cook; daughter, Christina (Joe) Young; grandchildren, Adryonna Cook, Emma (Caleb) Harrell, Emily Young, and Mason Young; great-grandchildren, Rozlynn, and Blaine; along with several cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family will receive friends Thursday, July 02, 2026, from 5-7 P.M. in the chapel of Stetzer-Bales Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 P.M. with Rev. Jamie Stewart and Rev. Jamie Brooks officiating. Graveside/interment services will be Friday, July 03, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. at Carpenter Cemetery in Mooresburg.
