Lana Jeannine Ellis (Williams), 59, of Morristown, TN, passed away peacefully at Select Specialty Hospital in Knoxville, TN on Tuesday, 01/06/2026 at 4:09 AM after an extended illness.
Lana was a loving and devoted mother of 3 girls and 5 grandchildren. She was the youngest daughter of Robert Williams and Wilma Williams (Wells). She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Lana was the 1981 1st runner up for Miss Tennessee and some of her hobbies included singing, rock climbing, snowboarding, and painting. In her youth she was part of a singing group with her sister, Marla and friend, Pam called The Absolutes. She was saved at a young age and knew she would one day be at peace with the Lord in Heaven. In her final days, she was surrounded and comforted by her family.
Lana was preceded in death by her mother, Wilma Williams (Wells); grandparents, Darnell and Clara Williams, Clyde and Evelyn Wells. She is survived by her father, Robert Williams (Linda Rhea); sisters, Marla Wilt and Robin Leonard (Tony Leonard); former spouses, Mike Ellis and Randall Stooksbury; children, Haley Stooksbury, Brittaney Stooksbury (Scott Lemka), and Amy Eggers (Josh Eggers); grandchildren, Oaklen Eggers, Jade Eggers, LeShay Stooksbury, Aiden Spencer, and Melaney Stooksbury; nieces/nephews, Michelle Dalton, Branden Gulley, Brett Burroughs (Jennifer), Leslie Beach, Eddie Abney (Leanna), and several great nieces/nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, January 13, 2026, from 5:00 PM-8:00 PM at 1907 Brewing Company on the main level in the Taproom for family and friends. The family will have a burial of ashes at a later date. Donations in lieu of flowers are greatly appreciated.
