Kathy (Davis) Martin Nomura, of Greeneville, TN, went to sleep in Jesus on July 7, 2025
at her home.
Kathy was born to Lyndon and Lillian (Sanford) Davis in Lincoln, NE on November 25,
1949.
After earning a Master of Arts in Teaching (English) from Tarleton State University in
1976, Kathy began her career as a secondary and tertiary English teacher followed by a
career focused on healthy living, including coauthoring a cooking book and found much
success as a corporate trainer.
Kathy loved God above all else and was known as a dedicated prayer warrior. Her
“happy place” was on the beach, where she could often be found on trips with family
and friends. She loved horses, horseback riding with her daughters, and running or walking with friends. Kathy was also a talented flautist and pianist.
Kathy is survived by her loving husband of 17 years, Randy Nomura; her brother, Greg
(Dina) Davis; daughters, Brooklynn (Chris) Townsend and Blair (Ryan) Haag; stepsons,
Marc (Bonnie) Nomura, Alin (Jane) Nomura, and Kenji (MacKenzi) Nomura; and
grandchildren, Elle, Jack, Scarlett, Olive, Kyo, Emi, and Lili.
The family will receive friends from 4:00-5:00 pm on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at the Greeneville Seventh-Day Adventist Church with the Celebration of Life Service to follow at 5:00 pm.
