Julie Nuzum Forrester, age 63, of Morristown, passed away on Sunday, October 11, 2020 after a hard fought battle with breast cancer.
She was born in Newton, NC on August 14, 1957 to the late Edward and Elenore Nuzum.
Julie graduated from Western Carolina University in 1979 with a degree in Social Services. She was formally employed by the Department of Social Services in Anderson County, SC and Mountain Air Cargo.
She was a devoted mother and sister, a lover of animals. She was forever taking in strays. She loved riding motorcycles through the mountains and enjoyed fishing and being outdoors.
She is survived by her daughter, Michelle (Dale) Edwards; her significant other, Mark Orbom; sisters, Ellen (Gene) Wetmore of Spartanburg, SC, Carol (Freddy) Sharpe of Catawba, NC; brother, Blair (Jadie) Nuzum of New London, NC; lovingly remembered by nieces, Jennifer (Brian) Sanders and her children, Matilda and Henry, Allison (Brad) Sumerel and her children, Ellie and Emory, Jordan (Nathan) Tabor and daughter, Abigail, Catherine (John) Eick, Christen Nuzum; nephew, Matthew (Sarah) Sharpe and children, Caroline and Evelyn.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, October 14, 2020 from 3 – 5 P.M. in the chapel of Stetzer-Bales Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 5:00 P.M. with Rev. Josh Moore officiating.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Amedisys Hospice for Julie’s care in her last few days.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Morristown Humane Society. Julie had a special soft spot for the humane society.
Due to Covid-19 mask will be required for the visitation and funeral.
