Jeffrey Alan Hamby

Jeffrey A. Hamby, age 61, surrounded by love passed away peacefully at home after a lengthy illness Tuesday, February 24, 2026. He was devotedly cared for by his loving wife, Melody Seay Hamby, whose constant support and compassion brought him comfort in his final days, along with the dedicated team from Gentiva Hospice.

A man of strong Christian faith, Jeffrey loved the Lord deeply and trusted God throughout his illness. His faith was a guiding light in his life, and today we rejoice in knowing he is at peace in his heavenly home with his Lord and Savior. Jeff will also be remembered for his devotion to his family, his enduring strength and the love he shared so freely.

He is survived by his wife, Melody Seay Hamby; daughter, Erika Hamby (Hannah Cummings); mother, Barbara Hamby; step-children, Dustin Greene (Lauren), Shasta Spitznagel; step-grandchildren, Ahndrea Eaton, Kadence Greene, Kelsey Bull, Austin Greene, Brayden Bull, Colton Bull; special nephews, Trevor, AJ, and Trenton Seay; sister, Elaine Hamby Johnson (Leon); mother-in-law, Marcia Seay; his devoted cat children, Binx, Bella and Moon Pie, along with many other loving family members.

Jeffrey was preceded in death by his father, Harold R. Hamby and father-in-law, Dale Seay.

Family will honor Jeffrey’s life privately, gathering in love and remembrance and giving thanks for the time they were blessed to share with him.
