James "Mike" Michael Anderson

James Michael Anderson, age 71, of Talbott went home to be with the Lord on April 18, 2025 at 10:52 p.m. surrounded by his loved ones at home.  Mike was a longtime Lakeway Auto salesman.  He cherished his customers and was loyal to them till the end.  He peacefully and painlessly passed away after a short battle with cancer.  Diagnosed 04/09/2025 he left this world on his own terms, never seeing a doctor until 04/09/2025.

He was preceded in death by his son, Todd; parents, Don, and Pauline; brothers, Rick, and Dwane; and sister, Sharon.

He is survived by his brother, Bill; wife of 44 years, Tina; son, Michael; grandchildren, Davis, and Callum; daughter-in-law, Casey; nieces and nephews; special friends, Crystal, Kim, Ronnie, Doris, and Stephanie; and countless other friends.

Thanks to UT Hospice for jumping in immediately and helping the family till the end.

A special thank you to Linda, sister-in-law, for her guidance and being there till the end. 

He was known for his strict work ethic and never missing a day or taking a vacation.  Knowing someone everywhere he went, never meeting a stranger.  He was devoted to his work, family, and friends.

Mike would want everyone to know he was saved by the grace of God.  And lastly, he would say “stay off my lawn!!”

The family will receive friends Thursday, April 24, 2025 at Mt. Pleasant Church from 5-7 pm.  A memorial service will follow at 7:00 pm.

The church is located at 1751 Mt. Pleasant Rd., Talbott.
