Obituary
James Donald “Stoney” Jackson, age 76, of Morristown, passed away Friday, March 18, 2022 at Erwin Health Care Center in Erwin. He was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church. He was a truck driver for Coffman Oil Co. for several years.
He was a very loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a very simple man and loved to garden.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James A. and Minerva Wyatt Jackson; son, Mark Hayter; sister, Phyllis Jackson; sons-in-law, Brad Bise and Rob Holiway.
He is survived by his wife, Priscilla Morgan Jackson; son, Michael (Cindy) Hayter and their children, Morgan and Chris Hayter; daughter, LaDonna Holiway and her children, Peyton Moore and Blake Bise; brother, Larry (Nancy) Jackson; along with several nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins and a host of friends.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 22, 2022 from 12:00 P.M. – 2:30 P.M. in the chapel of Stetzer-Bales Funeral Home. The family will proceed in procession to Hamblen Memory Gardens for a 3:00 P.M. graveside service with Rev. Brian Rhodes officiating.
