James Hopson Obituary

James Ernest Hopson, age 88, of Claiborne County, passed away Monday, January 2, 2023 at Johnson City Medical Center.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Alice Hopson; brothers, Earl and Lemmie Hopson; sisters, Louvernia Driver, Bobbie Kenner, and Charlene Posey; son, Ralph Hopson; daughter, Dorothy Carpenter; nephew, Darren Kenner.

He is survived by his sister, Bernice Templeton; son, James Hopson; nephew, Jody Posey; niece, Sue Coffey; grandchildren, Leah Hopson, Briella Hopson, Eastyn Hopson, Jennifer Hopson, Kelly Harris, and Ashley Wyatt; several great-grandchildren.

A family celebration of life will be held Thursday, January 5, 2023.
