James Edward "Pork Chop" Gray, Jr.

James Edward Gray, Jr. “Pork Chop,” age 54, of Cosby, passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at UT Medical Center.  James was always full of life and always wanted to be helpful to others to a fault.  He will be missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Gary, Sr.; mother, Elizabeth Fogliani; brothers-in-law, Don Messer, and Ronnie Fine; cousin, David Ramsey (Toe Jo).

He is survived by his sisters, Sandra Messer, Mandy Fine, and Jody Shaffer; nieces, Ivye Fine, Mary Fine, Destiny Shaffer, and Katie Riddle; nephews, Matthew Messer, and Braden Shaffer; best friend, Clint Mathis; along with other family members and friends.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2025 at 4:00 P.M. at the home of Mandy Fine in Newport.
