Horace Donald Raines

Horace Donald Raines, age 80, of Dandridge, formerly of Newport, passed away Sunday, February 9, 2025 at UT Medical Center in Knoxville.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Samples Raines; daughter, Mary Ellen Raines; parents, Dexter M. and Helen Gorrell Raines; brothers, JC and Randy Raines.

He is survived by his daughter, Joyce (Tim) Mantooth; sister, Caroline Ford; along with several cousins, nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.

A graveside/memorial service is being planned for a later date by the family.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Jefferson Park of Dandridge, Smoky Mountain Hospice, and UT Medical Center for all the love and concern they showed to the family during this difficult time.
