Gearldine (Ogle) Samples

Gearldine Samples, age 86, of Newport, passed away Monday, November 13, 2023 at Newport Medical Center.  She was a member of Cave Hill Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Violet Myers Ogle; daughter, Diane Coleman.

She is survived by her husband, Eulis Samples; daughters, Kim Holt of Newport, Charlene Holt of Elyria, Ohio; sons, Bill Holt of Knoxville, and Darrell Suggs of Newport; 9 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; sister, Delores Payne of Knoxville; special friends, Barbara McGill and Rocky Ogle of Gatlinburg, and Beville and Lisa Reagan and children Mac and Milo of Gatlinburg.

A graveside/interment service is being held Thursday, November 16, 2023 at 3:00 P.M. at Tudor Cemetery in Pittman Center, Gatlinburg with Rev. Scotty Gorrell officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude or a charity of your choice.
