Evert J. "Gizzy" Moore

Evert J. “Gizzy” Moore, age 59, of Newport, passed away Tuesday, January 9, 2024 at his home.  He was a member of New Beginning Independent Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Margie Swaggert; parents, Elbert John and Beulah Bullington Moore; 3 brothers; and one sister.

He is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Belinda Moore; children, Rebecca Bone, Olivia Bone, Bill Bone, Chad Moore, and Michael Hyde; grandchildren, Hennley Bone, Josephia Adams, Bill Bone, Jr., Emma Bone, Tristin Bone, Olivia Bone, Trystan Jackson, DeHaven Pressley, Isaiah Pressley, Eugene Taylor, Avani Presley, Khaleesi Aguilar, and Lanndyn Hyde; along with several other family members and friends.

The family will receive friends Thursday, January 18, 2024 at New Beginning Independent Baptist Church from 5-7 P.M.  Funeral services will follow with Pastor Gary E. Ball officiating.  Graveside/interment services will be Friday, January 19, 2024 at 12:00 noon at New Beginning Independent Baptist Church cemetery.
