Emily Kathryn (Flora) McDonald

Emily F. McDonald, age 80, of Morristown, TN, passed away Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at her home.  Her career spanned 30 years with the Hamblen County and Johnson City School Systems.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Harley and Irene (Howe) Flora of Rogersville, TN; and in-laws; Frank and Carrie (Bush) McDonald of Roanoke, VA.

Emily leaves her husband of 61 years, Donald McDonald; sister, Susan (Jimmy) Biggs of Rogersville, TN; sister-in-law, Nancy Johnson of Salem, VA; son and children, David (Jamie) McDonald, Matthew and Joshua of Talbott; son and children, Mark (Nancy) McDonald, JD and Laura of Johnson City; along with several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Receiving of friends will be Thursday, September 8, 2022 from 5:30 – 7:00 P.M. at Alpha Baptist Church, 245 St. John’s Road, Morristown, TN.  Funeral services will follow at 7:00 P.M. with Rev. Jeff Harvel officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Alzheimer’s/Dementia charity of your choice.
