Dwight Audrey Whitlow

Dwight Audrey Whitlow, age 80, of Morristown, passed away Monday, March 24, 2025 at his home.  He was a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather.  He was very proud that he got to serve his country with the US Airforce.  He was a faithful member at Grace Baptist Church for over 50 years.  He was a member of Masonic Lodge 767.  In his younger years, he loved to hunt and fish.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Mary Smith Whitlow; infant brother, Albert Whitlow, Jr.

He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Patsy Taylor Whitlow; daughters, Gail (Tim) Bacon, and Sonya (Lynn) Self; grandchildren, Sydney and Justin Ivy, and Taylor Self; great-grandchild to be “little Sadie Mae Ivy”.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, March 26, 2025 at Grace Baptist Church (425 Lincoln Ave., Morristown) from 5-7 P.M.  A graveside/interment service will be Thursday, March 27, 2025 at 10:00 A.M. at Hamblen Memory Gardens with Rev. James Williams officiating.

The family would like to thank Smoky Mountain Homehealth and Hospice, nurse, Aaron Smith, and Suncrest Medical, and nurse, Ty Heidle for all the love, care, and concern they showed during this difficult time.

2 Timothy 4:7-8  I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:  Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day:  and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
