Douglas Elwood Hawkins

Douglas Elwood Hawkins, 61, passed away peacefully in Jefferson City on August 21, 2024. Born on January 29, 1963, in Morristown, Douglas was a graduate of Morristown West High School. He spent the majority of his adult life in Maryville, TN, where he became a beloved member of the community.

Douglas was a devoted father who took great joy in coaching his son Hunter's little league baseball and basketball teams. He had a passion for golf and was known for his friendly nature—he never met a stranger.

He is survived by his son, Hunter Hawkins; his sister, Charlotte Moore; and his brothers, Danny Hawkins and Jimmy Hawkins. He was preceded in death by his mother, Louise Seal, and his father, Rudy Hawkins.

A celebration of Douglas's life will be held at Stetzer-Bales Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 27th. The family will receive friends at 5:00 PM, with the service to follow at 6:00 PM.

Douglas's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him, and his legacy will be cherished by all.
