Dora Almeda Bell, age 92, of Greeneville, SC, formerly of Morristown, passed away Saturday, December 24, 2022. She was a longtime member of Enterprise Baptist Church in Morristown and was active in the WMU of her church. She also held an office in the Nolachucky Associational Training Union and was active in its work.
She was a graduate of Morristown High School and the Greeneville School of Business. She worked a short time with Bird’s Inc. of Greeneville and came with Wallace Hardware Company, Inc., in 1949. She was active in the Credit Women-International. She was past president and chairman of the Board of Directors for the Morristown club. She was also a member of the Consumer Credit of Morristown and served as secretary and clerk for the Wallace Hardware Employees Credit Union.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Bell, he was a prominent dairy farmer of the Witt Community and was associated with the Bob Bales Ford Tractor Division; parents, W.R. and Virginia Dinkins.
She is survived by her sister, Marie Heatherly of Taylor, SC; nephew, Michael Heatherly of Simpsonville, SC.
The family will receive friends Friday, December 30, 2022 from 11:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of Stetzer-Bales Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. Harold Noe officiating. Interment will follow in Hamblen Memory Gardens.
