Diane M Johnson passed away 9/4/2025 in Jefferson City Tennessee at the age of 88. Diane was born in Winnipeg Manitoba Canada. She and her mother, Joan, moved to St Paul Minnesota and then to Green Bay Wisconsin when Diane was very young. Diane attend Catholic Grade school and High school in Green Bay. On a trip back to St Paul on a blind date she met her husband to be Charles Johnson. They were married in 1956 and lived in Green Bay and started a family. Diane and Charles had 2 boys Dean and Keith. Diane had jobs through the years and after the family moved to Illinois she actually worked at the factory where the Oscar statues were made for the academy awards. Diane was a great homemaker as well. Doing most of the child raising as Charles’s job kept him on the road quite a bit. She was a very loving and caring mother. Diane was a cookie baker extraordinaire she loved to bake. She coached two sons through getting their college degrees. Diane was also a favorite with Dean and Keith’s friends making everyone feel welcome anytime to their home. She could throw a party also. While living in Illinois she loved showing off her Green Bay Packers colors and giving the Bears Fans a hard time. After becoming empty nesters Diane and Charles moved to beautiful Talbott TN due to a job transfer with the Philips Company. It was quite a change going from the suburbs of Chicago to rural TN. She made great friends and took up card making and crafting with a friend’s group. She also raised a Schnauzer puppy named Andy Panda who she loved deeply. Diane was also a longtime volunteer at the Daily Bread Community Kitchen and a dedicated member of St Patrick’s Church of Morristown. She enjoyed traveling to see her sons, and traveling in general. She loved Hawaii and made a number of trips there and a cruise which she always had great stories about. She is survived by her son Keith. Diane is preceded in death by her son Dean, and her husband Charles. Funeral services will be planned for a future date to be announced. In lieu flowers memorial contributions may be made to The Daily Bread Community Kitchen.
