Dennis Franklin "D.J." Long, Jr.

Dennis Franklin “D.J.” Long, Jr., age 50, of Morristown, passed away Thursday, October 30, 2025 at his home.  He attended Swann’s Chapel Missionary Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dennis and Judy Hodge Long.

He is survived by his daughters, Julia Long (Braxton Stump), and Addison Long; son, Rowdy Long; sisters, Niki (Jason) Sutherland, and Tina Long; mother of his children, Melodie Long; along with several other family members and friends.

The family will receive friends Sunday, November 2, 2025 from 5-7 p.m. in the chapel of Stetzer-Bales Funeral Home.  Funeral services will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Jason Lemka officiating.  Graveside/interment service will be Monday, November 3, 2025 at Swann’s Chapel Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family ask donations be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
