Deanna Frances Smallman-Lloyd

Deanna Frances Smallman-Lloyd, age 83, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 18, 2023. Deanna was a member of First Baptist Church of Morristown and attended the Ambassador Class. Prior to retirement, she was in banking for 20 years serving Morristown Federal as secretary and treasurer to the board and a legal secretary for over 30 years including serving legal aid. She enjoyed her “play job” at Ross where she liked working with the public. Aside from her career she chaired many committees at the Morristown Chamber of Commerce, including the Christmas Parade and Annual Meeting, which were some of her fondest memories. Deanna was very proud of her participation in the Republican Women’s Club and also enjoyed working the elections polls. From a young age, she learned to play several instruments and sang with her sisters, as well as in church. 

Deanna is preceded in death by her infant son, Lewis Cameron Wyatt; parents, Lula Cameron Carter, and I.T Smallman; brother, James E. “Buddy” Smallman; brother- in- laws, Calvin Livesay, Ed Fox. 

She is survived by her daughter, Jamie DeNita LuAnn Wyatt; former husband, who was a very dear friend, Lewis Wyatt; grandaughter, Olivia Kate Almany; sisters, Penny Smallman Fox, Jean Ann Smallman Livesay; nephew, Patrick Livesay; nieces, Candace Smallman Jones (Rick), Wendi Fox Hrabak (Jason); great niece, Scarlett Hrabak; several extended family members and friends. 

The family will receive friends Saturday, April 22, 2023 from 11:00 A.M. – 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Stetzer-Bales Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Tim Jones officiating, who is a friend of the family. Interment will follow at Hamblen Memory Gardens  with the benediction pronounced by Rev. Curtis Seal.

The family would like to thank the caretakers of Erwin Healthcare Center. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the ALPS Adult Day Services.
