Dean Walter Johnson

Dean Walter Johnson, age 66, of Talbott, TN passed away Wednesday, August 9, 2023.  Dean was born in Green Bay, Wisconsin.  He grew up around Fox River Grove, IL.  He attended Cary Grove High School and McHenry County College earning his degree in mechanics.

Dean moved to California in the early 80’s and worked in the Silicon Valley.  Dean’s real passion was for fixing things, and helping other to fix things.  He loved motorcycles both fixing them and riding them.  He also had a love for animals, especially cats.  Dean like to watch motor racing of just about any kind.  Dean’s last job before retiring was working at NAPA Auto Parts where he could be around the car stuff that he knew so well, and help people with their car troubles.  Dean retired to Talbott, TN in the summer of 2020.

Dean is survived by his parents, Charles and Diane Johnson; and his brother, Keith Johnson.

A committal service will be Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at the columbarium at St. Patrick Catholic Church.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Dean’s memory may be made to the ALS Association.
