David Edward Weinreich

David E. Weinreich, 78, of Morristown, TN, formerly of Wakefield, Rhode Island passed away on Tuesday, January 17, 2023.

He was the son of the late, Frank and Harriet Weinreich.

He is survived by his wife, Kristina Weinreich; daughter, Alyssa Weinreich; brother, Barry Weinreich.

He served in the US Navy as an Aircraft Fuelman during the Vietnam Conflict on the USS Yorktown.

He retired from Downtown Mall Partnership as the Building Maintenance Supervisor.  He was a member, Captain, and Commander of the South County Ambulance and Rescue Corps and Wakefield Fire Department for over 30 years.  A member of the Narragansett Volunteer Rescue Corps.  All while being an active instructor of “The Jaws of Life,” and EMT, along with water and ocean rescue.  Also, a longtime employee with Wakefield Branch Fuel Company.

He was a Life Member of VFW Post 5266 of Morristown, TN.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 P.M. Wednesday, January 25, 2023 in the chapel of Stetzer-Bales Funeral Home with service to follow.

Internment services will be held on Thursday, January 26, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. at East TN State Veterans Cemetery on John Sevier Highway in Knoxville.
