Danny Fain Russell

Danny Fain Russell, age 74, entered the presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, September 19, 2022. He was born April 17, 1948 to Hubert Stanley and Nettie Lee Russell in Morristown, Tennessee.

Danny loved being on the road and spent many years driving across the U.S. as a trucker. He served in the United States Army 1968-1970, extending his service in Vietnam to one and a half years. Most of his time was in the Qui Nhon area, where he achieved the rank of sergeant. He was wounded in combat and was sole survivor in a convoy attack. His time in Vietnam had such an impact on his life that he continued to express his pride in his service.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister Kathy Ann White; brother Robert Stanley Russell; and nephew Jonathan McElyea. He is survived by son Johnny Russell; two grandsons; brother Billy (Kathy Sue) Russell; sister Melanie (Larry) McElyea, and several nieces and nephews.

He will be laid to rest at a private interment in Bethesda Cemetery in Russellville, Tennessee.
