Daniel "Danny" Francis Gibson

Daniel “Danny” Francis Gibson, age 89, of Morristown, passed away Wednesday, January 14, 2026 at his home.  He was a great man, a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.  He was a hard-working man who never missed a day in 51years, retired from Foamex LLC. Conover NC, and worked on farms in Hamblen County as a young man.  Danny graduated from Morristown High School in 1955; and was a big fan of UT Knoxville, football.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Feazell; father, James H. Gibson, Sr., and Margaret Stahl; step-mother, Mary Ruth Gibson; brother, James (Jimmy) Gibson; and son-in-law, Randle Self.

He is survived by his children, Kathy N. Self, and Robin Cornett of Morristown; son, Daniel L. Gilbert of Conover, NC; sisters, Brenda (Terry) Hodge of Hickory, NC, Joyce (John) Gravanda of Conover, NC; sister-in-law, Margaret Gibson of Wartburg, TN; grandchildren, Christopher Self, Robert Dubois, Adam Self, Derek Cornett, Stephen Gilbert, and Amber Huriton; in-laws, Kenny Cornett, Rita Dubois, Kim Cornett, and Brenna Self; great-grandchildren, Casey and Cash Dubois, Caleb and Natalie Self; along with many nieces, nephews, and special cousins.
