Dale Edward Hutchens

Dale Edward Hutchens, age 74, of Tazewell, passed away Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at Claiborne Health & Rehabilitation Center.

Dale was born in Flint, Michigan to Selma and Byron Hutchens, who had five siblings.  He was funny, opinionated, stubborn, helpful, and a loving father and grandfather. He loved to teach others with stories of his life.  He talked about welding with his dad, riding his 10- speed bike, even skating.  He had many different experiences.

Dale’s pride and joy was his only daughter, Christina.  He was excited when each of his grandchildren were born; for most of the years he was Papa.  The last few years he became Pops.

Dale loved animals, but he liked dogs the best.  Even though he loved them all he had his favorites.

He had many friends in Tennessee and Michigan.  He lived in Texas for many years prior to TN.  He loved being outdoors and was always trying to do something.

He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Wanda, Linda, and Barney; granddaughter, Crystal.

He is survived by his daughter, Christina of Tazewell; brother, Mark of TN, and his sister, Lorie.

He will be forever missed, loved, and remembered, but never forgotten.  His sense of humor will defiantly be missed.
