Clyde Douglas Huff went home to be with Jesus on April 23, 2025, at the age of 79.
Clyde, also known as Doug, CD, or Fred, was born in Culpepper, VA on February 11, 1946. As a child, Clyde played with friends, helped on a farm, was a part of the 4H club, and played linebacker for the Culpepper High School football team. He never met a stranger and would strike up a conversation with anyone, at any time, and anywhere.
Clyde is survived by four children, Samuel “Bo” Huff (Culpepper, VA), Doug Huff and wife Christy (Johnson City, TN), Dustin Tremaine and wife Suzanne (Kingsport, TN), Amanda Potter and husband Jay (Kingsport, TN), several grandchildren and great grandchildren, and special friends, Marilyn Weber and Chris Rhea. Clyde was preceded in death by his mother, Agnus Tucker, stepfather, Harold Tucker, wife, Kathi Huff, children, Catherine “Kitten” Huff, Keenan “Kip” Huff, Misti Tremaine Huff, and former wife, Mary Ann Huff.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on May 25, 2025, at 1:00pm at Mercy Seat Ministries, 2315 E Center St., Kingsport, TN 37664. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Clyde can be made to Mercy Seat Ministries.
