Christopher cross Obituary

Christopher Ussery Cross met his dear Lord and Savior on August 24, 2025, at the age of 28.

Christopher was a 2015 graduate of Tuscaloosa County High School in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. He had a gift for music and loved to sing, blessing others with his contagious smile and joyful laugh. His heart for teenagers, shaped by his own journey, led him to serve at Hebrew camps in North Carolina, Texas, and Oklahoma. Chris was a devoted member of Hearts Cry Hebraic Fellowship, where he found a true spiritual family.

He was creative and talented in many ways, enjoying video games, podcasting, and using his gifts to connect with others. Chris was a sweet soul—when you met him, you wanted what he had: the love of Jesus. Though his life was filled with obstacles, he chose joy, walking faithfully as a reflection of his Savior.

Chris was preceded in death by his grandmother, Gloria Anita Brothers; his grandfather, Jimmy Ray Buckner; and his uncle, Nolan Lamar Buckner.

He is survived by his loving mother, Mary Elizabeth Williams of Alabama; his father Gerry Ussery Cross; his brothers, Cody Austin Cross of Colorado and Zander Douglas Shepherd of Ohio; and his cherished family, Tab and Barbara Bregg. The family also wishes to extend a special thank you to Sandy Kimrey and her family for their love and support.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, September 7, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. at Martin Luther King Park, in Morristown, Tennessee. All who loved and adored Chris are warmly invited to join in honoring his life.

Chris will be remembered for his radiant spirit, his unwavering faith, and the joy he carried into every room. He is deeply loved and will be profoundly missed.
