Charly Nicole Ruble Clarkston, 42, of Whitesburg, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, after a brief illness.
“Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her.” ~ Proverbs 31:28
Charly was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, cousin, and friend. She loved big and fiercely; her family and friends meant everything to her. If she ever told you that she loved you, she meant it. Her favorite thing to do was spending time with her husband, Brian who was her soulmate and her two sons, Eddie and J.C. who were her pride and joy. She was the true definition of an overcomer. Her journey was a testament to her resilient spirit and unwavering determination. She overcame many obstacles throughout her life with grace.
Charly had an amazing love for animals of all kinds and would rescue anything that she came in contact with. She found great comfort in caring for her fish aquariums and pets at home. She thoroughly enjoyed her job at Carousel Pets and loved her coworkers like family. She loved interacting with her customers and caring for the animals.
Those left to cherish her memory: her beloved husband, Brian Clarkston; sons, Eddie Davis, and J.C. Davis; father, Charles Ruble (Margaret); brother, Cameron Ruble; sister, Shanna Wilson (Chris); several nephews; special cousin, Carrie Morrison; mother-in-law, Dianne Clarkston; father-in-law, Sidney Clarkston (Cheryl); brother-in-law, Nathan Clarkston; and her pets.
Charly was preceded in death by her mother, Belinda Ruble; sister, Hope Jones Grubbs; maternal grandparents, Haynes and Ruby Morrison; special aunt and uncle, Ronnie and Darlene Morrison; and special cousin, Teresa Trent.
The family would like to thank the staff at Vanderbilt University Medical Center for the care and love given to Charly. The family would also like to thank the congregation of Bean Station Church of God for their prayers, love, and support during this time.
The family will receive friends Saturday, September 13, 2025 at Bean Station Church of God from 4 - 5 p.m. Celebration of Life services will follow at 5:00 p.m.
