Charles Edward Whitt

Charles Edward Whitt, age 74, of Bean Station, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 26, 2023.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bryant Whitt and Lissie Mae Hixon; son, Charles “Jack” Whitt; sisters, Mary Whitt, Georgia Hembre-Whitt; brother, Lawrence “Teter” Whitt; uncle, Harlan Whitt.

He is survived by his children, Marty Whitt, Melissa “Sis” Whitt, Christopher “Duae” Whitt (Penny Bailey), Joanie “Jo” (James) Coffey; 6 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; along with a host of family and friends.

Graveside/interment service will be held at Avondale Cemetery Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Daniel Corum officiating.

Pallbearers will be Winston Whitt, Christopher Whitt, James Coffey, Joshua Gray, Mike Coffey, and Greg Collins.

The family would like to thank Serenity House and Amedisys Hospice for caring greatly for Charles before his passing.
